What men should know about their girlfriends

Okay – today we are revisiting the ancient old topic of “what men should know about women”. It will always be a current issue, since we will never learn to fully understand one another.

So here comes 4 things men should definitely know about their girlfriends:

1)      She says nothing is wrong…

But there is a good chance that something is. If you sense that she is not okay, if she is not her usual self, then she is probably not okay. So even if she says nothing is wrong – keep trying to get her to talk (in a non-annoying, non-pushy way preferably :-) )

2)     She pulls her hand away when you take it…

Yep, she is upset! She is upset and shows it by pushing you away. But the answer is not to let her be until she calms down! If she withdraws her hand when you try to take it – you take it again! And again and again and again – until she either comes around and give in or spills what she is upset about.

3)     She runs away crying…

If she turns and runs away during a fight; maybe crying, maybe angry or maybe smacking the door after her, that does NOT mean – “she probably needs a little time to cool down and be on her own”. No! It means “I am hurt and upset, so please come running after me so I know you still care”. So run run run!

4)     She acts completely mental…

There is a big chance that that will happen many times – and especially one week every month known as PMS J. So if she all of a sudden launches a bitch-attack on you for no apparent reason (and if she usually doesn’t do that), or if she all of a sudden gets very emotional about everything, cries for no reason or gets really aggressive for no reason – there is a good chance that you have reached the devilish week. So for your own good (and for the good of your relationship) please bear with her. The best line in this situation would be something like: “We will do everything exactly the way you want, you are absolutely right and I am sorry for everything I have said or done, and everything I will say or do in the coming week”.

Good luck out there – you will become so much better boyfriends and husbands if you learn how to react in these situations :-)

Hahaha Nadia… Is it really our responsibility to handle your change of mood?

Turn it around – this could actually be a guide for the girls on how not to act, but instead tell and guide what you actually want. Then we can ourselves judge if we want to follow your guidelines…

@Johan – I am just telling you how it is. I am not saying it is fair – just that this is the reality. So either you can discuss these issues with your girlfriend and try to change the pattern or you can try to deal with her in a good way, knowing how her mind works – or of course – you can also ignore it all and watch hell boil over :-)

Funnily I can reckognise these points.. haha :P I’ve been advocating them for a about a week – I’m sooo glad it could be used for inspiration ;-)

I told a friend the other day “oh my, sometimes I can barely stand myself.. how should another person be able to stand me” – and “poor men” – and then she reminded me that men also have their weird moments – like what… let’s get some examples of male pms?
